Happy Birthday To Us

This month we turned one!  When we woke up on our birthday, Mama and Papa brought us into the livingroom, where we discovered our presents!

Wow, we get BALLOONS for our birthday?!  How cool!  Oh, and there are scooters, too.  Let's try them:



Emilie: Wow, this is fun!

 Mama was busy all day preparing for our family to come over for our birthday party.  We love The Very Hungry Caterpillar book, so she made us cupcakes with that theme.  In case you didn't know, the Caterpillar eats through lots of stuff on his way to becoming a butterfly.


We like to poke our fingers in the "holes" he leaves behind.



The caterpillar and holes were made of colored sugar.





Here we are with Uncle Tim, Aunt Tina, and our cousins Nick and Abby.



We love it when our cousins come over!



Celeste: Nick and Abby gave us their bouncy horse, Rody!  Bouncy Bouncy!



We got gifts and cards.  It was so cool!



Celeste: I am reading my card to Papa.



Emilie: I may or may not be about to eat my card.

Birthday cupcakes with candles?
We'd rather munch our new toys!

Celeste: Cream cheese frosting?  Yes, please!

We made it one year!  Woo hoo!
