Vive la France!

Well, this week was more of the same: feeding, burping, crying, sleeping, peeing, pooping, smiling, cuddling, hiccuping, vomiting, sneezing, etc, etc.

Our big event this week was on Monday.  We took a very long trip with Mama and Papa. After a good night of sleep (Omi stayed the night... thanks Omi!), they drove us to Los Angeles to the French Consulate. We decided to be nice with them and we slept the whole way, only to wake up few minutes before we arrived.

Once at the consulate, all the French mademoiselles came to admire us : oh quelles sont mignones! Elles ont quel age? 2 semaines! ah...
Anyway, after we were done with our bottles and got clean diapers, Monsieur Menin welcomed us in his office. We made some special noises and smells, but we don't think he noticed because he let us become French anyway!  He took the carnet de famille and added our name to it to make us officially French! Nous sommes françaises maintenant!  

We impressed one of the mademoiselles so much that she helped Papa apply for our passports without having to go through the French bureaucracy... Je m'en occupe. Ne vous inquietez pas. Je vous tiens au courant une fois les papiers envoyés, Bon retour!
And so we went back home, sleeping most of the journey, dreaming in French now! (The trip home was not as smooth as the trip there, but Mama and Papa made it without pulling their hair out!).

Later in the week, we had several baths. Now that our umbilical cords are gone, we can bathe in the water. Céleste is not a big fan of the running water, but Emilie loves it! So in addition to her regular bath time, she tries to make her diapers leak  so that she can get extra baths! And it works. She was able to bathe at midnight few nights ago! How cool is that?! (not so much for Mama and Papa...).

We have been gaining weight consistently. Especially Emilie who is trying to catch up with Céleste. We like to sleep together and wake up together, so Mama and Papa are becoming experts in parallel feeding. They are doing quite a good job.

Almost everyday, we have visits from friends who are bringing food for Mama and Papa. Thanks so much! We like to hear new voices, smell new people, see new faces and we like that Mama and Papa get yummy food since we get it later from Mama's milk.

Oh... we forgot... Papa took more pictures of us today... See how chubby we are getting... Enjoy!  (p.s. yes we were naked and we took the opportunity to pee all over Mama!  hee hee!!)
