Our trip to Europe... our Baptism (5/6)

We were baptized at the church of St. Eloi in Hazebrouck (where our grandparents live) on August 1.
First we got all dressed up in white dresses and jewelry, and even white shoes with fun ribbons!

Céleste: I am ready! I really liked to play with my chain and medal from my Godmother Anne, and my grandparents.  It's fun to wear jewelry!

Emilie: I had a fun chain too, from my Godfather Didier! The church was kind of cool. They had mics so that I could sing to everyone... lalala?  Oh you mean it's not my turn?  What am I doing up here, then?!  Oh going to take a bath?  I love baths!
Céleste: Here is our little "bath" as my sister called it.  We got some water poured on our hair- and we did not cry!

Emilie: I didn't cry...much.  The priest put some special oil on our forehead in the sign of a cross.

The nicest part was that all of Papa's family was there. Half of our new godparents (since the other half is in San Diego), all our cousins, uncles & aunts, most of them we met for the first time!
There were a lot of pictures taken that day of both of us...so here are a few of them:

Bonne-Maman & Bon-Papa organized an amazing lunch after that!
Céleste: My favorite was the strawberries... I love strawberries, plus it's fun because they are red and you can put them all over your clothes! But Mama was smart enough to remove my white dress first...

Emilie: well, my favorite part of the lunch was to be able to play with all my cousins. I did not know I had so many before that day!

Well it was a great event! And we have such wonderful memories of the all family together! Thanks especially to Bonne-Maman and Bon-Papa who organized this and for everyone who was able to make it!
